Gaia

This is Gaia...my experimental bag...I must say although, it's funky I really like it! The blasted thing has oodles of ends to weave in tho...I still must line it and then it will be done! I think this may be the first of many funky bags.. I did learn a few things while making Gaia that I will carry over to the next ones.

Let me know what ya think!

I adore it! I love the "waves". If I may make a suggestion, I had a bag I hated the handles too (it was a drawstring). What I did was used leather lacing to make the drawstring around it, using a large bead as a closure, and then did straps just woven in the sides (see my http://deneensdesigns.blogspot.com) it's the felted bucket bag. If you need me to explain better, email me at dsa0901 (at) juno (dot) com. It really made a difference and the straps could be used over my shoulder.

The bag took 2 days....of living and crocheting LOL! I think perhaps 5 hours total went into it!
Thanks for the comments! I have a tote in mind that will be very similar!
